Live in Adventure ~ a life-changing experience with Backcountry Wyld. Women leading women backpacking in the PNW on the Pacific Crest Trail.

About Us

Who:
Backcountry Wyld is a pioneering women-led organization that focuses on providing all-women backpacking adventures on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) within the stunning North Cascades National Park. Our commitment is to create transformative all-inclusive experiences through nature retreats that emphasize personal growth, confidence building, and community among women. By fostering an inclusive and supportive environment, we aim to connect our participants not just with the natural beauty of the outdoors but also with each other. We recognize the therapeutic effects of the wilderness and the strength that can be gained from shared experiences, ensuring that every woman who joins us leaves feeling enriched and empowered.

What:
Our mission at Backcountry Wyld is to empower women through engaging nature retreats that promote personal development, self-confidence, and lasting friendships. We believe that the great outdoors provides a unique backdrop for transformative experiences and that every woman deserves the opportunity to explore, learn, and thrive in a supportive wilderness setting. Women guides lead all of our backpacking trips, and our clients are women.  Sisters, best friends, partners, mother and daughters, aunts, cousins, co-workers, family, and work re-treats... we got you... Whether you're a beginner or advanced solo backpacker who wants to hike the Pacific Crest Trail, hike with new and old friends, or would like a taste of a thru-hiker's life, this is the trip for you.

Where:
All of our Backcountry Wyld trips are catered to your skill level and are all hiked on the Pacific Crest Trail.  The PCT stretches 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada through some of the country's most dramatic and rugged terrain. Some of the best trails are right here in our backyard in the PNW.  Three of our trips are in WA and one is currently in OR. We hike through the North Cascades, Stehekin National Park, Stevens Pass, Snoqualmie Pass, Cascade Locks, and Mt Hood.  We will frequent and be lodging in Mazama, Sun Mountain Lodge, Leavenworth, and Timberline Lodge.

Because our trips are remote, we have made them all-inclusive, from pickup, gear, meals, lodging, and drop-off.  Our expert female guides have all hiked the PCT and have extensive knowledge of the trail system, flora, fauna, and backcountry skills. Our guides all carry InReach Garmin's for GPS and safety. Each trip has been carefully planned to guide, teach, and come away with our Backcountry Wyld experience.  We know you will be hooked after one trip and want to BE Wyld with us again.

When:
Backcountry Wyld 2025 season:

  • June 15th ~ to September 15th.
